斯通（尼古拉斯·凯奇 Nicolas Cage 饰）和沃特斯（伊利亚·伍德 Elijah Wood 饰）是两名默默无闻的警员，他们整天做着无聊的行政工作，靠贩卖公务员考试信息赚取外快。当斯通听说一名海洛因贩子付了一笔很高的保释金后，这两位好友便打起了这笔现金的主意。 费尽一番心血后，他们跟着一条线索找到了藏在小杂货店冷冻室里面的保险库，他们计划抢了这个保险库，瓜分里面的一切。但等到他们弄清楚保险库里的所藏之物时，一切为时已晚......。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。
