作为一部定格动画打出的口号是“战争、谋杀、正面全裸”，讲述霍尔特配音的善良农民Patrick在皇家城堡里找到了一份人人羡慕的侍卫工作，但美差很快变成了噩梦：他发现自己热爱的王国已经被好色的君主、骗子、小人所统治。更惨的是，全家最正气英勇的Patrick被家人看成害群之马，他那恶贯满盈的兄弟手足们来找麻烦了。。父亲住院后，Emma从纽约飞回意大利老家。独自一人在父母家中，她发现了一台被诅咒的收音机，并感受到邪恶的存在。Emma必须揭开收音机背后的黑暗秘密，才能熬过黑夜，保护她所爱的人。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
