2019年大河剧时间从日本首次参加奥林匹克运动会的1912年到上届东京奥运会的1964年，时隔33年再度聚焦近现代历史，以“日本与奥运”为主题，走全新创新路线。。1904年，驻美公使梁诚在交涉用金亦或银支付庚子赔款的过程中，发现赔款数目“实属过多”，梁奋力追回，终将该款用之于教育并设立清华学校。津门世家子弟梅贻琦考取第一批庚款留美生。校长周诒春刚正不阿，欲将清华建成一流学校。梅贻琦亲历其中，深为敬佩。不料，周遭陷害，抱憾辞职。新校长曹云祥擅权术，乏教学，热衷于培植自己的势力，在梅贻琦等“少壮派”的抵制下，曹灰溜溜地离开了清华。 1928年，清华改制为大学，校长罗家伦深喑梅的威望，将他派驻美国留学生监督处，远离权力中心，罗的强硬作风引起校内外师生的反感。1931年冬，梅贻琦被任命为校长，明确了“大学乃大师之谓也”的治校理念。“一二九”运动后，梅密令将学校部分精密仪器和图书运往长沙，准备南迁。。Kathy is married to Peter.
